My style is raw and real. When it comes to shooting, I try to keep the session as light and fun as possible. Your kids will play. You will dance. I will make funny faces and sing wacky songs. We will move around a lot and I will make sure to use the entire location setting as a variety of backdrops.

When it comes to editing, you can expect your images to reflect dark contrasts, vibrant colors and a definitive mood. Each session is edited according to lighting, skin tones and energy. If you've got a certain vision in mind, I will do my absolute best to provide you with what you want!

I am a natural light photographer so this usually means that I shoot outdoors, preferably during the "golden hour". 30 minutes after Sunrise and 1 hour before sunset are my favorite times of day to shoot!

I do offer in studio sessions for an additional fee. Inquire for pricing.

I recommend timeless pieces and suggest a classic/traditional wardrobe. Keep the pattern simple or wear solid colors that coordinate with everyone in the photos. Please do not wear any clothing with writing or logos on them.

General Attire Guidelines: Collaboration is key. We recommend picking colors that will compliment and not contrast your backdrop. Gentleman, I recommend jeans, boots, button down or solid colored sweater. Women, dresses should be at least knee-length. Solids and simple patterns work best. As for the kiddos, let their outfits coordinate to yours but they should not match.

Please no bright colors (hot pink, neon green, fluorescent yellow) and any bows should match in size and color. Try to keep your outfits in a neutral zone (earthy, grounded colors) or the primary, secondary and tertiary color palate. Also, please keep the weather in the back of your mind. Hats, gloves and coats can be removed for photos if it is cold!

Most of all though, dress comfortably. I am a mover & a shaker and I promise I will ask you to stand, sit, jump, hike and play with your kiddos so remember to wear shoes that are comfy and clothes that will allow you to move freely.

Nope. Your sessions include a print release so you can print wherever you would like. When you receive your gallery, I will send recommendations for photo labs where my camera is calibrated so you can receive the best quality images at an affordable rate. If you would like to order professional prints through me, I am happy to send you a price sheet!

For newborns, please schedule your session when baby is between 5 and 21 days old. The newer, the tinier, the sleepier, the more we can pose your bundle of joy!

Maternity sessions should be taken 2 months before your due date. Aim for somewhere between 28 and 34 weeks along for a nice round bump.

Fresh 48 Sessions should be booked at least 2 months in advance.

For portraits, whenever you are ready, let me know and I will get you on our calendar. We appreciate a 3 weeks notice but we understand if you need to book an impromptu session last minute!

I currently live and operate The Rustie Nail in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex but I travel back to my roots in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania several times a year for sessions. I do my absolute best to turn your photos around in 21-28 days from the day of your shoot. Mini Sessions are an exception to this. Depending on how many I book in each season, the turnaround for Minis can be an additional week. I promise you, your patience will be worth it when you see your photos! I hate rushing through the editing. So, yes it does take me a bit longer to edit but I really do want your images to be perfect and the more time I spend working on them, the better the quality you are getting with your gallery.
